The Department of Information Communication, in alignment with the implementation direction of the Ministry of Education’s Professionalization Program for International Student Employment and Retention in Taiwan, provided guidance for 39 second-year Vietnamese students on October 17 to participate in the training program “ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Clauses and Internal Auditor.” Through a comprehensive curriculum design and professional training, all students successfully completed the course and obtained professional certification. This achievement not only helped students develop fundamental competencies in quality management and internal auditing but also significantly enhanced their competitiveness in internships, employment, and future career development, laying a solid foundation for entering the workforce.
The primary objective of this program is to help students gain an in-depth understanding of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System standards while developing practical internal auditing skills. The course invited Consultant Cai Bing-Hong from Leadership Enterprise Management Consulting Co., Ltd. to deliver lectures on campus. The curriculum covered fundamental concepts of quality management, interpretation of ISO 9001:2015 standard clauses, and practical internal audit operations. Through a balanced integration of theory and practice, the course enabled students to build a comprehensive knowledge framework in quality management and further enhance their professional competencies and employability in related fields.
ISO 9001:2015 is an internationally recognized quality management system standard. In recruitment processes, enterprises place strong value on candidates with relevant professional knowledge and certifications. Obtaining such certifications not only enhances students’ professional capabilities but also supports their development in the international job market. In addition to emphasizing academic knowledge, the Department of Information Communication continuously strengthens practical training and certification guidance, ensuring that students’ learning aligns with industry needs and enhances future career opportunities.
Vietnamese student Ngo Thi Quy, one of the certified participants, shared that she was very pleased to successfully complete the training and obtain the certification during her second year of university. Through this course, she gained a deeper understanding of the core principles of quality management, including “customer orientation,” “leadership commitment,” “process approach,” and “continuous improvement.” During the learning process, she repeatedly studied the standard clauses and discussed practical application cases with classmates, which not only helped her pass the examination but also significantly improved her logical thinking and problem-solving abilities. She emphasized that quality management is not only a system or procedure but also a management culture. In the future, whether working in Vietnam or Taiwan, she hopes to apply ISO principles in the workplace to establish more efficient management practices.
Another certified student, Luu Kim Ngan, also shared that as a Vietnamese student, successfully completing the “ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Clauses and Internal Auditor” training and obtaining the certification was a highly meaningful challenge and a significant achievement. From initially being unfamiliar with quality management system concepts to gradually understanding professional terminology and related knowledge, although the learning process was challenging, it brought her substantial growth and valuable learning outcomes. She noted that the certification is not only a recognition of her abilities but also deepened her understanding of the importance of continuous improvement and self-development. In the future, she hopes to apply what she has learned in both work and daily life, becoming more professional and responsible.
The Director of the Department of Information Communication, Zhang Shi-Xi, stated that through professional courses and certification training, the department not only enhances students’ professional competencies but also aligns with the educational goals of the Ministry of Education’s Professionalization Program for International Student Employment and Retention in Taiwan and the New Southbound Policy. The program continues to cultivate students’ international perspectives and cross-cultural competencies, helping them connect with industry needs early and prepare for future employment markets. In the future, the Department of Information Communication will continue to develop more professional courses aligned with industry trends and market demands, providing students with additional learning resources and development opportunities, and building a strong foundation for their career development.
